Cain Mocks Pelosi's Crumb Comments

Businessman and 2012 GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain mocked Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer, top Democrats who referred to the large bonuses that American workers are receiving as "crumbs."

Many companies, including AT&T and Fifth Street Bancorp, are giving their employees $1,000 bonuses and increased pay as a result of the tax cuts that the GOP-controlled Congress passed in December 2017.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-California) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-New York) derided the tax cuts and said that they were a handout to the wealthy, which stands in stark contrast to the economic growth that has ensued as a result of the bill's passage.

Pelosi said, "The bill that the Republicans are putting forth ... is probably one of the worst bills in the history of the United States of America."

Backing Pelosi up, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-New York) said, "When the American people learn that some of them are not getting anything, some of them are getting raises, and the rest are getting crumbs, and big corporations and wealthy individuals are getting nice, fat pieces of pie, they're going to be outraged."
